Question. Dallas TX - Quick! My five year old son discovered that there is some mold growing on the window sill of the bathroom next to his bedroom. He’s afraid to sleep in his room! He saw this movie where Stephen King got some kind of moldy stuff on him by touching a meteorite that landed near his house. The next thing you know King is covered with the stuff and so is his house and his farm and everything as far as you can see. That’s what Timmy is afraid will happen to him. Do you know if King had mold or mildew growing on him? I think it was green. Please help me fast. He’s sleeping in our bed with my wife and me. Between us.
Answer - I saw that movie! Timmy is right about one thing. You need to clean up that mold and prevent it from coming back. Some molds can cause health problems. Apparently outer space molds can take over the entire Earth. One expert suggests you clean the mold by mixing up a gallon of special secret solution consisting of a quart of chlorine bleach with three quarts of warm water. Mix in a little powered laundry detergent (make sure it does not contain ammonia and use only about a tablespoon.) You’ll need to check the ventilation in Timmy’s bathroom. You need to reduce the moisture collecting around the window.
