Look It Up!

Black Mold Phoenix

Question. Phoenix, AZ - We’ve got mold on some of our pipes and my husband was reading that mold isn’t likely to grow if the temperature is above 120. So he’s been getting down there and blowing hot air on that mold with my hair dryer. Will that work? Nothing else Harry has done since we’ve been married has worked worth a darn. Is mold the same as fungus?

Answer.
While I did find some experts who say that mold isn’t likely to grow if the temperature exceeds 120℉ they also say that something called containment is important. What that means is that you don’t want to spread the mold spores around. They can move through the air and land just anywhere and sit there for ages until the temperature and moisture conditions are right to start growing. You might wish to contact a mold remediation firm.
