Look It Up!

Carpet Cleaners Los Angeles

Question. Los Angeles, CA - My wife is a school teacher who spends most of her spare time at the Goodwill Store, either buying or donating back what she bought from them last year. She also hits garage sales–every single one she sees! Last week she bought a rug from this guy named Emil who convinced her it was a magic carpet rug and it could fly. (She teaches English so she’s not particularly aerodynamically knowledgeable.) She paid him $200 for a rug that should have cost $3.00 at going garage sale rates. (She doesn’t teach math or personal finances either.) Needless to say that rug has yet to take off. Now she’s wanting for me to fix it. She says it’s broke. It’s become a sore point in our marriage.

Answer. You are certainly right to have come to The Clueless Cleaner for help, however I hardly know what to say and the research is very sketchy on this subject. One resource reveals that rugs are big collectors of dirt, as in dry soil. As much as one pound of it can collect in every square yard of fabric. That could sure be weighing it down. You might give it a good vacuuming and see if that doesn’t lighten the load. Or you might call one of your Los Angeles carpet cleaners or an LA dry cleaner. You could also try making a kite out of it.
