Answer. One of the pros I looked up suggested using rubbing alcohol to keep the ink stain from spreading out too much. Dab it on the carpet and after a quarter hour, blot it up. Do this as many times as you need to in order to get rid of the ink. Then rinse it off. Another expert recommends you try hair spray. Spray it on and rub it off using a bar of soap, then use cold water to rinse. Whew! Sometimes this looking up cleaning solutions will make you a little schizoid. But as they say there’s more than one way to skin a cat. Why not get the kid a pacifier? Don’t let him take it to school.
