Carpet Cleaning Los Angeles
Question. Los Angeles, CA - I hate to be vulgar but I’ve got to tell you the truth. We have two dogs and they like to have pi☹☹ing contests. Pardon my French. They are both male Shih Tzu dogs. The get at the edge of my favorite area rug and lift their hind legs and cut loose with a competitive stream like it was a javelin throwing contest. Then they run around the room with their heads back like they just won the Gold Metal. They’ll grow out of it, or be killed out of it. In the meantime how do you get puppy urine out of a rug?
Answer. I always wonder if the males shouldn’t be called Bull Shih Tzus! Most of the experts I’ve researched for you say pretty much the same thing. Soak up as much of the pet urine as you can with towels or clothes. Use a solution of dishwashing detergence and water to blot the area up. Then head to the old standby vinegar and water formula–one-third vinegar and two-thirds water. (Others suggest one cup of white vinegar to a gallon of water.) Blot it with that and then dry it with towels. The bad thing about pet urine is that once pets had done it someplace that becomes THE place to do it. They are creatures of habit.
