There’s probably a lot of soap left in your carpet from the last time you had strangers clean it–enough soap you don’t need to add more. Then rinse it good. Some professionals say that these rental cleaning machines work best when you regularly clean your carpets. If your carpeting gets really dirty you might need to invite in the strangers. Those guys have the heavy duty commercial cleaning equipment that will do the job.
