Look It Up!

COMMERCIAL CLEANING HOUSTON

Question. Houston TX - You call a wig a rug...right? Should I hire a commercial cleaner like a dry cleaner to clean my rug or is this a cleaning job I can do myself? Ever since the late ’60s and ’70s I’ve been a hippy. I’m against the war, although I don’t remember which one we’re fighting right now. My problem is that I’ve lost my real hair and I’m bald. Bald and hippy don’t go together so good, so I bought this lady’s wig and it looks real cool. About once every year or two I feel like I should wash it out. There are bugs living up there and those Texas fire ants try to crawl in there. They hurt! Could you look up how to clean a rug?

Answer - We’re fighting a couple of wars right now, so you might want to double up on your protests. Sounds like the cleaning advice for artificial hair is pretty basic. You soak it in cool water for 10 minutes or so. Hey man, don’t forget to take it off first. You could drown yourself. And DON’T use hot water. Also mentioned is that you can add some baby shampoo to the water. Rinse it out after it all soaks awhile. Others suggest adding some Woolite to the water. I don’t have any idea what Woolite is, but hey if it works for sheep why wouldn’t it work to clean your hippy hair.
