Look It Up!

Commercial Cleaning New York

Question. New York, NY - We hired a commercial cleaning firm to clean our apartment and they just flat out refuse to do the whole job. The issue is the cage where we keep our pet Burmese python Reggie. They won’t clean Reggie’s cage and they say they don’t clean animal cages. I thought it was a law that cleaners with licenses had to clean anything you ask them to. I think they’re just chicken. Next time they are there cleaning I’m going to call the police. Sound reasonable?

Answer.
I couldn’t find any law that says a cleaner must clean everything. In fact, from what I read it would appear that the cleaning requirements are subject to negotiation and agreement between the cleaner and the ah...cleanee. However, I did run across a website that said Burmese pythons were illegal to keep as pets in New York City. You might wish to investigate this further before you call the police on your cleaner.
