Gutter Cleaning Atlanta
Question. Atlanta, GA - I got up on the roof to clean the gutters. The wind blew the ladder over. No one would be home all day! I had a screw driver in my pocket. I took the shoelaces out of my shoes and tied one to the middle of the screw driver. If I could lower the screw driver to the ladder I could hook it and pull it up. I took off my jacket and t-shirt and tied them to the shoe strings. Too short so I took off both socks and tied them on. Too short. I took off my pants and tied them to the socks. Then I saw the nosy neighbor lady looking at me with binoculars. She was talking into her phone. And then I heard police sirens and 3 squad cars pulled into my driveway lights flashing and sirens blaring. All the neighbors were coming out and there I stood in my briefs with my hands up the air and police telling me to come down off the house. I just want to know if there is a way to avoid having to clean the stupid gutters?
Answer. You can hire a gutter cleaning service. I know a guy who just took the gutters off his house. His basement started flooding but he got out of cleaning those gutters. Most of the gutter cleaning experts offer this advice.
- Scoop the leaves and stuff out of your gutter starting near the downspout and working your way out.
- Hose out the gutters and use a snake (or have a service person do it) to clear the downspouts if they are clogged. You might need to take them off.
- Make sure your guttering is up close to your fascia board so that water can’t flow behind the gutter. If not you’ll need to re-nail or screw it in.
