GUTTER CLEANING HOUSTON
Question. Houston TX - Professor, I’m retired. Completely retired and having worked over 40 years in a linoleum factory, I deserve it! My wife and I have been having this argument over how often the gutters of our house should be cleaned. She says twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring. I say once every ten thousand years. Who’s right?
Answer - They should definitely be cleaned after every ice age. Actually the experts seem to agree with your wife. Keeping that rain water away from your house is important to prevent all kinds of water and moisture problems. By the way, don’t lean your ladder against the guttering when you clean them. It can damage it. You also might pile up 20 or 30 pillows at the bottom just in case your ladder slips. Can’t be too careful.
