Maid Houston
Question. Houston TX - My mother went around my new apartment writing the words “Clean Me Brat” in the dust. Two days later I received a registered letter saying that if I didn’t clean she was going to turn me in to the Houston Health & Cleanliness Enforcement. A friend says I need a commercial cleaner but I don’t know the difference between Housecleaning Contractors, Maids and Housekeepers? Is there really a Houston Health & Cleanliness Enforcement?
Answer. I think the answer is that if your mother says there is such a department, there is, whether there is or not. You have lots of commercial cleaning options:
- Maid Service: These services provide light cleaning services such as weekly or even daily dusting and vacuuming. Cleaning your kitchen and bath. They may not do heavy cleaning or shampoo carpets.
- Housekeepers: These are the same as maids only they may be less formal. A housekeeper may be a student or relative who just does a house or two. Some think of maid services and housekeepers as being the same.
- Housecleaning Contractors: These guys offer heavy-duty cleaning such as washing windows, stripping the wax off hard surface floors and the such. They may not be the guys you’d want to have come in every week and clean.
