Look It Up!

Mold Removal Los Angeles

Question. Los Angeles, CA - I call my husband Ebenezer Sneezer for two reasons. He’s real cheap. And darn near everything sends him into a fit of sneezing. We have mold, or mildew or fungus growing on our kitchen wall. I painted over it, but the mold came right back through the paint! My husband won’t let me call a mold remediation service cause he’s too cheap. So I tried some bleach and that sent Ebe into a sneezing fit that lasted a week and a half. I thought his eyes might pop out!

Answer. I’ve researched the mold issue for you.
  • Painting over mold won’t stop it. You’ve got to get rid of the mold first, then you might need to repaint.
  • Try to clean as much of the mold off as you can. Even dead mold spores can cause health problems.
  • Try an odorless cleaning solution that also happens to be a fungicide. One suggestion is a solution of unscented borax and water.
  • Another is a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution.
You should also check on the moisture in your home. A water leak or excessive moisture might be the cause of your mold problem.
