Look It Up!

Water Damage New York

Question. New York, NY - We had a water leak in our home and called a water damage restoration firm. They fixed the problem, but the owner was telling me that as he inspected the house he spotted a lot of mildew in some of our upstairs rooms that was not cause by the leak which was in our basement. He suggested that we cut a couple of trees down that shades those rooms. He said the shade might be promoting mildew growth. I don’t trust him. He offered to cut the trees down for free but I happen to know he heats with wood. Is he just trying to steal our trees?

Answer.
I don’t know about that but according to the experts mildew loves darker areas–same as vampires. Strong sunlight will not only inhibit the growth of mildew it might even destroy the mildew. However, garlic and crosses won’t work so it is not exactly like vampires.
