Window Cleaning Atlanta
Question. Atlanta, GA - My wife gave me the job of cleaning all the windows on the outside of our 27 greenhouses. She says there are homemade window cleaning solutions that work fine and I should do some research on it. So I called Randy my aunt’s kid. I always call him because he’s a know-it-all. Randy told me the best cleaning solution he ever heard of is beer. You get a case of beer, some water and a rag and have at it. He even offered to help if I buy the beer. Frankly, I’m skeptical.
Answer. Oh, the cleaning experts just love to provide you with homemade window cleaning solutions. During my research for you, I ran across one who seemed to be more honest than worried about his expert image and he said why screw with any of them–just buy some window cleaner at the store and clean the darn windows.
However, here are several other expert possiblities:
- Mix a half cup of ammonia or vinegar with two gallons of water and toss in a little dish washing detergent for good measure.
- Use plain water
- Use a quart of water with 1/2 cup of vinegar added to it
- Use one squirt of dish washing detergent with a pint of alcohol and a half cup of ammonia.
- Combine one-third cup of white vinegar with a quarter cup of rubbing alcohol. Put it in a spray bottle and fill up the rest of the space with distilled water.
