Answer. One cleaning expert says just use a squeegee with plain water. Water never streaks by itself. Always wash the windows in the morning or the evening or on a day that is cloudy. It’s the heat that makes the windows really streak. Tell you husband that would less work than cleaning the rain water out of your carpets and getting rid of snakes and birds and other animals that will enter your home. Draw him a picture of animals in your house.
