Window Cleaning Miami
Question. Miami, FL - What do they think we are, stupid? We had a small fire in our kitchen as a result of certain pancake experiments and they’re telling me I should buy a “smoke-cleaning sponge” to clean the windows and the walls. Sponges live on the bottom of the ocean! Right? That’s where they get them. Why would a sponge evolve to be able clean smoke when there can’t be fires down in the ocean? Those guys down at the hardware store must think I’m completely stupid.
Answer. They’d have to get up pretty early in the morning to fool you my friend. Noonish... It turns out that they also make artificial sponges. They sometimes call them dry sponges. One I ran across was made of vulcanized rubber. Even though they apparently all come from Spock’s planet they are available right here on Earth. They’re specially built to clean smoke residue from lots of different kinds of surfaces. One expert recommends using a commercial degreaser along with some water to clean the smoke. Use a dry cloth to finish cleaning when you’re done scrubbing off the smoke.
