Mold Removal Dallas
Question. Dallas TX - I have an extensive rock collection that I’ve personally assembled from trips to Austin, Houston and even Oklahoma City. My cousin brought me back a rock he chipped off an ancient Roman battlement near the Colosseum in Rome. It’s my most prized possession. My cousin was arrested and spent 3 days in an Italian jail, but in the end he managed to smuggle the rock back to Texas by hiding it in a stash of marijuana he brought back. I have a cleaning question. How do you get mold off stone? I’ve got some awful green looking mold growing on some of my stones and when I wipe it off the stain comes right back after a few days. Instead of mold it might be mildew or even algae.
Answer - My research indicates that it can be tricky to rid a stone of a stain. Stones are porous and stains penetrate into them. Just cleaning off the service is not enough. As you’ve discovered the mold stain comes back. Some experts recommend that you create something called a poultice. It’s paste that you apply to the mold stain and then let it dry for a day or two. It will pull the stain out of the stone. For mold stains on stones create your poultice out of flour and regular bleach you use around your home. Make a paste out of it and apply it to your rock. Once it dries scrap it off and keep repeating the process till your stain is historical.

It’s a sad thing to be clueless. Even while The Clueless Cleaner believes that cleaning can be fun and hopes to provide a bit of entertainment, Professor Q hopes that his research might point some folks in the right direction in terms of solving perplexing cleaning issues.
Here’s what you need to know. Other than being fictitious, Professor Q is just like you and me: Fallible! He knows nothing about cleaning! Out of the goodness of his heart he’ll look it up when someone has a truly clueless inquiry. He has dozens of reference books and of course the Internet. But he has not checked out these solutions personally and as far as he knows the experts he researches might be just as clueless as the rest of us. Probably not, but who knows?
So do your own due diligence before proceeding with any cleaning solution. Just one more slight word of caution. The Professor has noticed that a lot of these cleaning experts say the same thing over and over again, doubtlessly to cover their own tails. They say, “any one trying a cleaning solution should test it in an inconspicuous place–whether you are cleaning your silk blouse, your carpet or your driveway. Find an out of the way spot to make sure the cleaning solution doesn’t cause more problems than it cures.”
